Not sure how to put this, but I'll try my best. I have 8 Kigoma Frontosas and would like to put them in an 180 gallon with 1 Male Blue Dolphin and 3-4 Females. All these fish are 1.5-3" long.

I cannot locate a 2nd breeder in my area for Kigoma Frontosas. The same breeder has about 2-3 generations of Kigomas. If i were to buy a male uncle or grand uncle of my current frontosas to breed with some of my females, would that be a good idea? Would the genes be strong?

I'd look for a male from a different blood line to avoid birth defects from inbreeding. Maybe check cichlidsandherps.net. they usually have kigs in stock.....and plenty of other good stuff.
