Haven't really shot this tank much since buffing & polishing it. I figured out what the problem was with my overhead flash (which kept me from shooting the past couple months). Thought I'd shoot Nytazi. He is being a super camera shy booger! I hope the pics (Nyatzi's poses that is) get better than this. In this pic, a moment after I pressed the shutter, Nyatzi went, almost, full flared fins (which I missed - an epic miss).

Anywho, I hope this is the first of serval pics (in this thread) of Nyati's Frontosa Bank. If you like my pics, stay tuned to this thread for future updates as I continue to shoot. Hopefully, Nyatzi will become less camera shy.

BTW: for anyone not familiar with this group... there are 16 wild caught Cyphotilapia gibberosa (Zaire Blue Mikula) in this 240-gallon tank. Four males and 12 females + 1 F1 cull I decided to rescue (name "quasimoto").

Cheers,
Russ

Thanks guys!

UPDATE: It appears that might wife and I are about to begin an exciting new chapter in our life. I can't reveal more details at this time (soon, but not quite yet). This new chapter will require me to be fishless for, at least, a year. In preparation for this, I have (this past week) sold off all of my fish and my 240-gallon tank.

While this is somewhat sad, the excitement of things to come has helped.

I will be taking some more pics before my Mikula leave my fish room for good in the next couple weeks

Thanks you for your friendship through the years!

Sincerely,
Russ

I thought this post must have been posted on April 1st. But no it was posted Sept 21. I am surprised by the news Russ. I hope you have found a good home for your Frontosas. I would have driven to your home to buy the tank and fish if I would have known. I would assume you will be gone from your home for the next year and thus you needed to sell your fish. Please let us know what you and your wife are going to be doing. A year off and then I know you will be back in the game!!

Joel
