 We are very excited to have our first 6 bar burundi frontosa family members. Purchased 3-4 weeks ago. One male 18cm we named Fonzy and a ? female 13cm we named Francene although we are thinking Franny is a Franky. We got them from a person on facebook which claimed they have mated once but the last few days Franny has been clearing out a den like Fonzy has done and we have since heard this person is a bit on the dodgy side. We love them all the same! Little Franny/Franky had a shredded dorsal fin which is now almost completely healed.

The purchase was unplanned and so we studied up the days leading up to getting them to ensure their tank was set up correctly and although it is only a 4 ft they seem very happy compared to when we first brought them home. We had a 7 ft coming but that arraignment may have fallen through but we are getting a 5 ft and have another larger 4x2x2 so which ever works out the largest water capacity they will move into next month.

They are currently living with two black ghost knife fish (whom I have caught on numerous occasions cuddling with the fronies), 5 vanustus, 4 female red empress, 1 male tangerine peacock and a male bristle nose. We do plan on getting more females and learning all about them on this forum. Any advise about Franny/Franky's den behaviour would be greatly appreciated.

Striving for a house full of happy and healthy fish.
