I have a colony of Mpimbwe fronts that are roughly 4-6" range. I have them in a 150 gallon. I have just bought a 225 and will be placing them there soon but would like to add 1.5" Petricolas with them. My Fronts are shy. Will this be ok? Will the Petricolas be threatened or eaten? i want to add a dozen petricolas

Petricola are a dwarf sydnodontis.
they are better suited for mbuna or vics.

Multipunctatus would work better, but they are still kind of small in the 5-7 inch range.
I have seen some huge 8 inchers though.

Thanks.

I have 3 upside down cats (4") now and am not a big fan since they are getting big and the color is ugly black. I really like the spotted Petricolas. You think they will get harassed? My fronts have left my clown loaches alone (3").

its best not to keep fish small enough to fit in a frontosa mouth.

yes, people do it, and say how well they get along, then a year later the frontosa freaks out and either eats all the cats, or chokes and dies.

Better off putting in something with more size.

Its like speeding at 90mph.
yeah alot of people do it, but one day you will get stuck with that $400 ticket, or worse.
No reason to do it, eventually it will bite you.

Frontosa is a predator, a lazy one but that is what it is.
its also a stupid one, meaning it will eat a spiny fish that will get stuck in its throat.
Better to not put it in that situation.
