Sorry to hear that.
I think the chances it will make it is very slim.
I have had fish make it over a week, but that is usually when they are small and perfectly packed.
thats a big fish to be in a bag for a week.

If he used Kordon's bags, then it would be OK, but few people use those bags, though i been suggesting it for years.

I have a different address on my paypal then my mailing address, so I always make a point to make sure the person send the fish to the address i specify.

Dang it...I was thinking he wouldn't. What a waste...I feel terrible about it. I should have double checked the address...I guess I'll be holding off on a green phantom until I find another larger one. In the end result, I blew $50 and the poor fish died (most likely)...I would definitely have to say this was an unsuccessful transaction. I guess it's a lesson learned to always double check the whole transaction...who knows though, maybe he'll make it. Thanks tr6

not trying to push the point, but for anyone using paypal I always tell the seller my address and ask them to send it there no matter what paypal says. Both paypal and ebay have reverted to my old addresses on several occasions with no apparent reason (other than they are amateurs).

Man what a bummer, hope he makes it. One thing I try to get in a habit when selling is to always ask for the buyers address and phone number in a email. When buying I always try to send a email with my address. One thing is that by posting this experience you will most likely save others from the same thing happening.

Yea, I'm thinkign about complaining to paypal and see if they'll do anything about their mess up...doubtful. The guy knew my zip code...he should have seen the difference in zips between the two. Oh well...just got some good news! The package is in Rochester NY right now and he lives 1 and a half hours from there...so they'll probably deliver it tomorrow morning, I hope...So that should raise the fish's chance of survival. I'll let you guys know what happens. And, you're right Joe, I hope other people will see this and avoid the same situation.

Well, the green phantom ended up dieing when it arrived back in New York on Saturday. It was definitely a lesson learned about double checking and making sure the seller knows your correct address. I am still determined to get a green phantom...eventually! Thanks for the help guys!

Sorry to hear it man, I lost a great Mpimbwe female in the Mail, it was my first group too. It wasn't even an address issue it was Fedex dropping the ball, and then everyone trying to pass the buck. It took about 24 hours of me on the phone with them just to get the package through to my house. If I didn't do that all 8 WC fish would have been dead for sure. The seller didn't stand by his live arrival guarantee either, he doesn't do the best packaging and it was a leak that led to the box getting put aside by Fedex. So had I not been relentless I would've been out my money and all 8 fish.

Wow, that would not have been good. I'm glad most survived though! I contacted paypal about the situation, and of course I got the generic, we're sorry, but we can't do anything to help, which is what I expected, lol. Oh well...

I've had success once with paypal returning funds, but I had to play some serious hardball.
