ok not sure what has happened... this fish hides alot with my L021 pleco and my tropical red fin shark... i changed this tank from a 30 gallon to a 75 gallon a few weeks back...never had to recycle had plenty of media soaking and this 30 was a well established tank...when i swapped tanks he looked good ... he had been coming out more with the bigger tank maybe cause of more plants...i saw him just 2 days ago and he didn't seem to look different that i noticed ... well he came out tonight with his sides completely white.. looking very bad .. still swimming strong when scared but just sitting ... another weird thing was it seemed he was evicted from the castle by the shark who is never aggressive toward him and rarely aggressive toward any fish.. was almost pushing him down by turning his body and pushing with the side of hos body .. was odd but these are the pics please help with any advice or any info... i didn't know where else to turn

i forgot to add this part...i recently went to a fish farm and bought 7 Large Angel fish i noticed a small little white spot on its head and 2 or 3 little white specs on the glass thought it might be Ich so for the last 3 days i have been treating the tank with no carbon filter and treating with 40 ml daily of API's Pimafix (75 gallon tank)...as far as any other signs of ich i can't see any ... however i am terrified that this fish farm might have contaminated my tank with something ...

It almost looks like something has stripped off his slimecoat, but I am just throwing out a guess. If this is the case he is susceptible to fungus, which could be the white. I would recommend isolating him in a sick tank if possible, and treat with salt, conditioner. I would wait for some with a bit more experience to add to this before doing anything too drastic. Anti fungal may be needed here, I just am not sure what I am looking at. Wish I could be more help.

that is what it looks like to me ... like the top coat and top layer of skin almost the second picture looks like hat ... i wonder in the thing where the shark was pushing his body (he would make contact on the catfishes side where it was white) into the cashfish's body...if he has rip the slimecoat off by doing this ... i really hope i can figure out what it is before it kills my whole tank.... i am setting up an isolation tank this after noon ... should i just keep this bare bottom and empty or should i put a couple of hiding places for the cats stress?

Many of the medicines stated to not use with scaleless fish , snails, ect....does that pimafix say anything about scaleless fish like that cat?
If so, then that would explain the slime coat removal and/or damage.

I also think its fungus, spreaded after light skin damage maybe. Whatever it is, first of all isolate this guy as me said and try to heal that, before other fish would be infected.

How long have you had this cat? What was the PH in its tank previously? What is the PH in the tank he is in now? What kind of filtration/aeration are you running?

Looks like you have lots of plants in the tank... are you running CO2 or fertilizers?
