Both of those are very hard to find.
Surprised me that you found some for sale.
you may want to make sure they have them.
places will often not take down a listing, meaning they don't actually have them.
so really surpirsed if any place actually has these for sale, really not likely anyone has the 287.

287 is rarer, but the 173 looks nicer IMO.

287 will run about 100-125 for adults.
173 depending on the type, slightly lower or higher.

173 has 2 types.
1 is a version of a zebra pleco, but it has wavy lines.
the other version of 173 looks like a very fancy 333.
the zebra version will run about 200-300 for adults, the non zebra version will be about 75-125.

fry.
287 which are never seen, would run about 50 each.
173 zebra version about 125.
173 non zebra version about 40-60 each.

I'd be the first in line for these adults or fry.
287 never around.
173 is rare.

Did you change your mind due to scarcity of these last 2 choices.

If they had been available, i and other pleco freaks would have been all over them.

But if you have a source, let me know who they are, i know most of the pleco dealers, so i pretty much know whats available.
I'd like to pick them up.

Not nevermind to the fish to my post and i called one guy he said he didnt have any but he would see what he could do about it. The other guy is piranha dealer who goes down to brazil a lot and along with piranhas brings back plecos... according to his site he still has some and his feadback is good looks like hes good on updating. I found an old post where he had L173 so i sent him a message. ill see what they both tell me.

well good luck.
as i said before the lists are usually old, and both of these have been banned for export for a couple years.

anybody who knows what these fish are will pay a premium for them, and thus they would again be hard to find.

anything is possible.

send me the link and i will tell you right away.
