Thanks guys! You'll be the first to know David! lol.

Unfortunately I lost 4 of them. I wanted to make them less stressed and decided to cover their tank up for one night...well that was a really stupid mistake. One jumped out and got caught on the top of the lid, and 3 died in the tank....If I didn't have it covered I would have noticed them struggling. Not sure why they died as their water was literally perfect...I'm thinking a ph difference from the water they came from.

Oh well...11 are doing well. I'll order some more to add to the group soon. This is my first time keeping tropheus and from what I've heard about people keeping them for the first time, I'm lucky to have that many left.

They're amazing fish to watch, very active. They also all swim right over to whatever part of the tank I'm at, very social fish. And they love to eat, lol.

I have heard they like moving water and are aggressive eaters. Also very tough to settle so don't feel bad......wheres the pics already

Thanks guys! Joel, I used satin latex based paint. I used a foam roller specifically meant for smooth surfaces. We gave it 2 coats.

Shanks - I just posted some pics at the bottom of page 2 of the thread.

Marc

Also, the group has settled very well, expecially since I put the plants in. They are very active, eat like crazy, and show great colors. I have 2 that keep getting beat up. I got them before it was too bad and have them in separate 10 gallons recovering. They'll be put back in with the colony when they fatten up a bit.

Hoping for some spawns soon! I've seen some spawning activity, so I know they will eventually.

Just had a huge spawn from my best Mpimbwe holder. Her mouth is packed full of eggs. Expecting around 40-50! Wish me luck!
