I have used both equeon and ebo jager. I like them both. Which do you prefer? or is there a better more precise, more reliable heater than the 2 I have already tried.

I don't use glass heaters at all.
just stainless steel or titanium.

I have had too many glass heaters break from frontosa slamming into them.

Course if you put them in a sump or make a box for them, then not really a problem.

any of them could screw up and cook you fish, they're not grounded so i don't think they can get electrocuted. is it not cold where frontosa are taken from, so why do you need a heater.

I use vistherm by marineland and ebo-jager. The water still has to be checked as I've had both brands either shut off or get stuck in the on position.

Yeah they are pretty awesome if you get your hands on one. Since you have Renas filter they actually fit in the intake tube if you get the adapter thingie.

I use 2 500w titanium heaters I bought at Jehmco. They don't have internal thermostats so I use a single stage Ranco controller and set the lower range at 77 and the higher range at 79. I used to use the thick glass ebos.

I have 1 500W Titainium and 2 1000W titanium heaters using ranco etc contorellers 1 per system (My setup is divided into 2 systems). Also some jagers as well in some smaller spearate tanks.
