if you don't care about breeding you can put in synos no problem. the reason you don't put them in if you want to breed is because they will eat the frontosa eggs and lay their own and trick the fronts into brooding their catfish eggs for them. fronts are slow moving gentle fish so they tend to get picked on by more aggressive fish. there are still plenty of other tangs that you can put in with them.

that's a hit and miss situation. malawis are often too aggressive for fronts so it's not recommended, but it has been done. i have a very mild manered pair of ruby reds that do fine with my fronts for now, but i am keeping an eye on them. i found moorii blue dolphins to be way too hyper active and aggressive so i had to sell them.

Got a good chunk of the room done again tonight, should see at least all the electrical, drywall, and tank stand built... Still am going to have to find a couple people to help me lift it into the wall....dont know if it will get set this weekend again or not!!! Will post pics Sunday night!

This tank took 4 of us to get it up into the wall..It was all we could do to get it up in there.... Thank god this is the last time this tank will ever be moved....If it is ever moved again i will pay someone to come move it! Have my 40 gallon breeder tank set up in the room with it as a grow out tank! Have to finish all the electrical, and drywall and then going to get some water in this beast!

I see mixed reviews about putting tropheus in with fronts....can it be done in this size tank?
