Image its gonna take a lil while to get it up cause it needs some helpit was a live rock storage tank at my lfs its got a sump but I gettin a brand new one I forgot wat kind it is but its a 125 acrylic and im gettin it with the sump and a pump for 220 not a bad deal at all all I need it heaters and im gonna get led lights for it and im gonna paint the back and the sides but my biggest question is what polish do I need to get cause I have no idea

Looks like you will need a lot of elbow grease and time for this one. There is a polish that will help with acrylic. First you have to clean it all out as best you can. Try not to scratch it if possible. Good luck will be nice when you have it complete.

I use a credit card on acrylic, its seems to not scratch it. but it may not be strong enough to take on that

I redid a 240 this year. This thread may help jump start your research phase.

Get Novus 1-2-3 for your polish and once you have read the thread in the link above, I would be happy to help you get started.

Don't try cleaning it until you have read up :wink:

white vinegar and hot water helped me clean up an acrylic tank really easily to prep it for polishing. i still need to polish it though.

Thanks everyone for the advice thanks russ im gonna check out that link right now I cant wait till its done im not sure what color im gonna stain it yet ill post more pics im gonna start this weekend what paint should I use for the back

Ok so I didn't get to work on it this weekend I had a very busy weekend had a party for my fiancés sister on Friday stayed at the house till 4 the next day cleaning then we got home and found out we got the house we trying to buy so we started going through everything and packing so hopefully I will start this week but I read up on that forum that Russ told me to read wow what a lot of great information I think I'm ready I'm hope one I get the algae off there isn't to many deep scratches wish me luck on that one I will keep everyone informed on it's goin

Imageok so I went and scraped all the algae off and scrubbed the whole tank there really isnt that many scrathes so it shouldnt take to long to polish out but the stand needs a lot of work now that I really looked at it

Oh and the sump im getting is a marineland tidepool should I get it or no as you can see the tank is already drilled

You did a nice job on the tank. I wasn't sure what you were going to have when it was cleaned up. Maybe a sander on the top and stand a nice new coat of stain you will be set. :D
