what is the fish in the second picture o the fish? looks like a crypt but what kind? i love the colors and i think they look sweet. and your tank looks awesome. i cant wait to get started on mine!!!

I only had one of them so I don't know about schooling. But the one I have is about 5 inches long way to big for my fish to eat them. I'm sure if they could they would.

Very nice! You did a great job and you have a nice collection.

One exception: Kilesa have no way to defend themselves - the kilesa needs to go. It will end up being an expensive snack.

Also, kilesa thrive with many females and a few males. A displaying male kilesa is one of the most active, beautiful and interesting fish in Tanganyika. Just one kilesa by himself seems to be a waste. IMHO.

Back to the positives - beautiful tank and fish!!!

I completely agree, unfortunately the LFS only had males. And because he was so large I gave him a shot in the tank. He made it a good while but just passed away recently. :(
