I am back to frontosas after an absence of about three years. These are wild caught Kapampas (2F, 1M) in a 6 foot, 135 gallon tank. I hope to get another female. The male is pretty much 12 inches.
I like the basic look of the tank but am looking at suggestions for the rock arrangements.
Are they good where they are? Should they all be at one end?
Do I have have too many rocks or too few?
Should I scrap the small ones in the middle?
Should the rock at the far right be on its side instead of vertical?
I don't want to do piping or pots, just rocks.

I like the look, don't need a lot of stuff in the tank. When having little in the tank it's a good idea to have some space between the rocks and glass so that the females can hide from the Male. I always put something in the middle but not sure about your rocks I like something a little bigger in the middle. Really the best thing to do is watch them and make sure they have their own space, sometimes when little is in the tank the Male will pick on female to much and you will need to add some females to spread out the agression. Fronts are looking nice, congrats.

Great looking tank and awesome Kaps. Good luck with getting another WC female. People just don't like to give up females. You might do better with raising some F-1 fry to go with the adults.

I made a bit of a cave on the left side and did add another female so I have 3F, 1M which is nicer. I may still gradually tweak the aquascape but will move in slow steps and see how fish behavior changes as I do it. Here is how it looks this week.

i really love the minimalist look of your tank :D

unusual choice of rocks, they look nice but i think river rock or boulders would look great in your tank as they would match your background which is very nice btw.
